Our Executive Council
The Executive Council meets quarterly to guide the strategic planning of the STEM Innovation Network.
The Executive Council ensures the Network achieves its goals of:
- Establishing regional hubs that leverage local and statewide resources to provide students with equitable access to STEM career pathways and to meet New Mexico’s STEM workforce needs
- Ensuring all students have access to 21st-century STEM learning experiences
- Providing professional learning and implementation support for PreK–20 STEM educators
- Strengthening coherence and alignment among STEM initiatives across the state
- Ensuring every learner in New Mexico has access to high-quality, culturally responsive STEM opportunities
Membership includes 12–15 leaders representing the New Mexico Public Education Department, industry partners, the Career and Technical Education Council, Economic Development, the Indian Education Advisory Council, and the Math and Science Advisory Council.
Role of the Executive Council
As a member, you would
- Guide the Network’s overall strategy, priorities, and success metrics
- Advise on policy alignment and strategic resource allocation
- Champion equity and cultural responsiveness, with particular attention to rural and tribal communities
- Leverage organizational and industry strengths to extend the Network’s reach and impact
